I'm a baby boomer. I have a mortgage and receive social security. Thank God for my son and his wife that live with me. My social security covers my mortgage and utility bills with very little left over. Times are tough and the Biden administration is responsible for most of our problems right now.

Salaries were much lower making our social security lower and we got hit with very high interest rates and several recessions and now the rapid rise in housing costs and all living costs is depleting savings. Inflation is much higher than reported !! Some of the senior independent housing has been sold off and converted to high priced units . Owners got good deals, low rates, tax breaks and then...the sell out especially the more desireable areas. Waiting mlists for subsidized housing are getting longer. Also young disabled numbers increasing including mentally disabled.
