This problem only gets worse as you look at younger generations. Many boomers, like me, were extremely fortunate to come of age when we did. Affordable higher education, affordable housing, decent paying jobs, etc. Today’s millennials and GenZ not so fortunate. Our current elected leaders in Washington believe prolonging the Ukraine war is their most important priority while the American Dream slips away for a huge number of our fellow citizens. I don’t see this ending well.

Ain't no way the boomers who got all the help, the program made for them and the politician at their feet in since their adult age and got no savings.. What do you think they generation under them have? They also are the last generation to ever use the social security and the last to be able to afford homes...

Big skill issue if you are a boomer and have no saving and the social security isn't enough. You would of been homeless at 21 have you been born in this generation

As a Boomer I do not understand your statistics, we did well, combined we have $68 trillion and growing, we are only 20% of population yet own 50% of US wealth. There are some that didn't plan well and will be struggling to survive but average Boomer has $1.2 million. As we die that $68 trillion will become the largest wealth transfer in the history of the world, trillions annually passing on the heirs plus the multiplier effect of all that wealth will cause an economic boom in the 2030's.
