I expected him to talk about letting the outcomes/purposes drive the communication, with technical details in tow. I personally tend to bring in details too quickly, even when I'm trying to avoid doing that. This video is a actually decent example of leading with the purpose: He spends more than half the video explaining the usefulness of the book before even showing/naming the book.

Ok, so you just spent literally half your video on telling people how you struggled and why you sucked at communication. All of those two and a half minutes could have been summed up by two sentences: "As a senior at amazon, I have to write a lot of documents. I used to suck at it, and I was looking for ways to get better". Sorry if that feels harsh, but your communication skills still need serious work.
