Where I've installed my machine I can open the draw with out moving the machine (I know 🤦🏼‍♀️) however I've connected the drainage hose so will I need to empty the draw?

Hi, have a DC7112W condensor dryer. Recently the condensate reservoir has started to stick badly. There are no obvious signs of damage like bent or snapped parts. Do you have any idea what it might be? I'm concerned it may jam fully putting it out of use.
