I got an A* in RS this year and honestly your videos helped me so much with achieving it. I struggled really badly with paper 2 (Christianity section) and was stressing the few days before the exam. But your videos helped me understand everything so much easier (especially the harder topics) which helped me in the exam. I ended up getting 97/100 on the paper and 95% overall on both so thank you :)

Use the specification as a checklist
Know your content
Whether that is the textbook or Ben Wardle who I find is more interactive
Make Anki Flashcards (for me it is definitely the most effective) or any other form of active recall eg covering up the textbook or youtube screen and get a blank piece of paper and see how much u remember to engage long term memory. I know it is boring but in the stress of the exam it will hopefully remain in your head and repeat, repeat and space it out which is what Anki does (spaced repetition) tells you when to do the flashcards for it to stick in your head.
Read examiner reports to know what the examiner are looking for, and see common trends, mistakes, exemplers throughout the years.
Do many past papers, predictions and essay plans
Be confident because ultimately exams are mostly a test of your hard work so if you put in EFFECTIVE revision (active recall) and not just blindly copying the textbook you will get there

Hi, new to your channel. I take RS OCR because it interests me. (along with maths and German), but I’m worried that it might not be respected as much as subjects like history or politics, by the top tier universities of the UK, especially since the course I’m going for (modern languages) is not exactly related to it, and so it may hinder my chances of getting in. Do you think that may be the case? Anyway your channel looks awesome and I look forward to using it. 😊

I recently did an AS in religious studies and didn’t get the result I was hoping for which was really upsetting, I feel like it’s going to be really hard to achieve a higher grade, but your videos are really helpful and I’m going to use them for year 13 :)

By 'learn the content' do you mean familiarisation and understanding or memorisation? I make notes on the topics and understand them but struggle to memorise. Not sure if I should be doing something else in addition.
