How to graph y = 3x + 2

thanks for some reason we learned that y=3x+2
taking the two from the equation y[0, 2]
x-axis for now x[, 0]
then change the y for the 0 0=3x+2
then calculate the equation 0-2=3x
-2=3x

thus x-axis is
well it is a correct answer how ever it is kinda hard to graph by hand .
also seem a bit too complicated tho it is usable for finding where the graph intercepts wit x-axis i guess the equation you showed cant do that.
why is it a correct answer beacause it is on the x-axis and always on the 0 of the y-axis
