I just went to a pentecostal Church in my search for a building of like minded believer's..Pastor specifically said "we are saved by grace and not of our works, but our works are a testament of that grace that was freely given to us, and just because we aren't saved by works doesn't mean works aren't apart of what Christ wants us to do"
Faith without works, and works without faith is dead. Simple as that.
I have to say, out of all of the "denominations" (which i truly believe is just a tactic of the enemy in this worlds agenda for dividing the body up)From what God has been showing me personally in my prayer closet in my alone time with him, pentecostal seems to be what resonates with what I have been shown and feeling from God for the last five years of coming to Christ on my own. For example, before I even knew what pentecostal was or speaking in tongues was, i was just
Praying by myself to God since 2019 and randomly started naturally doing it in the middle of my prayer and it felt right and naturally do it, i didnt have to learn it or anything. I searched many buildings to find the same things that God was showing me and kept feeling like every church was just "playing a couple songs and preach for 30 minutes and leave" with not much of gathering and mingling. Literally the places clear out right after the sermons. I finally found actual fellowship and deliverance in pentecostal after I searched in many "denominations".
People say speaking in tounges is "of satan" but its not. If satan does it, that means its something of God that came first. Remember that satan "wants to be like the most high God" and mimics him.

Water baptism is needed as a public declaration of choosing to believe and become a disciple.

When we believe and ask Jesus to come into our life, we repent (physical turning from sin - change our minds toward sinning) confess our need to be saved, then through faith and the free gift of grace we have remission of sins.

If at that very moment, we died before water baptism, we would still be saved. But, if we live on, as an act of obedience we are to be water baptized.

We also are baptized in the Spirit when we believe. The Spirit of Truth comes and abides/dwells in us.

I would suggest you do more studies through the many many examples the bible gives us.

The cherry picked verse was Paul’s frustration from new believers that had not either heard correctly or were poorly informed that the “baptizer” is merely a tool that physically assists the believer to be submerged, and are not the person to be worshipped, only Jesus. Although, the tool/baptizer should be able to tell them they are being baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…

As a Christian, you probably shouldn’t be attacking any of the religions, although pointing out the bible talks of none of the 40, 000 denominations…

All believers are really just disciples of Christ and should emphasize our common beliefs that are biblically emphasized rather than nit pick about what biblical truths that they choose to overlook.

Jesus Christ himself was baptized. Peter taught baptism in Jesus' name. When they preached the gospel, they baptized and prayed through to the recieving in the Holy Ghost. You can't take one single verse and then claim other parts of the Bible are irrelevant. Praying for you

Just so we're clear. He meant his own destiny in Christ wasn't for him to baptize it was for him to testify. There's a difference. He is a part of the body of Christ. The hand, foot, and ears all have different parts to play yet they are of the whole body.

As a pentecost....Baptism is not to wash away sins....it is to prove everyone that from now on he/she (the one who baptised) will continue a holy life by believing that God, The Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit is real....and He will come to take us to his holy kingdom...Hope this helps

Baptism is a way to follow in the steps of Jesus, even he was baptized.

Works do not get you salvation, faith does, this is true, however baptism is still a major part of the Christian faith as it states we can essentially become “Jews” via baptism

religion is all just whatever each individual wants to make out of it that’s why everything is so damn vague

By trying to prove Pentecostals is lying I’m guessing he thinks Baptist are true hun?😂 man o man, Baptist have more false teachings than Pentecostals, to name a few, once saved always saved, they believe in the rapture before tribulations, they don’t believe in spiritual gifts so they lean towards discontinuation, not to mention they extremely twist scripture to make it fit their beliefs, and so many other things that are not even biblical.

This man is a deceiver. I'm a certified minister. I'm also Pentecostal by humanity standards but I'm a follower of Christ. So I believe Jesus' words before anything else and BTW you're not even using the right Bible. Geneva is the first text not this standard KJV. I now understand why you have the simplistic interpretation text. You have a problem understanding.

Another thing in revelation it says whomever adds to or takes from this book the same will be done to them. Paraphrasing of course. You highlighted the CONTEXT of that Bible. Guess what happens when you highlight or write on a Bible? Ding ding ding we have a winner!!! You ADD TO THE BOOK. Revelation says if you add to the BOOK, ADD and BOOK are significant. You have added to the book which is prohibited in revelation. I'd repent if I were you
