At this point I convince myself the parent company of dbrand is dbrand and associates.

The blurred logo on the back is hilarious

There is nothing stronger than Japanese copyright lawyers.

Nintendo: "How dare you touch our brand! Die."
Steam, and Gaben: "ah you have done damage to our console and are reselling it.... that's sick af. Keep up the good work!"

I have no doubt it's legal, but Nintendo will find a way to make it not

I just imagined the entire legal team of Nintendo has a hit battalion with tanks and everything including artillery just waiting to sue the hell out of dbrand and if that doesn't work commit warcrimes

Dbrand's marketing is absolutely top tier. I love getting their emails, you never know just what they're gonna say

I think that at the very least this should fall under parody.

The only thing that may be questionable is the name SwitchDeck

Photoshop: exists
Dbrand: "Haha saw go brrrr"

What’s Nintendo gonna say? They don’t own the switch colors, they’re not copyrighted, and the logo on the back is blurred, so it’s not possible to say that’s copyright infringement.

Chinese sellers: I don't have such weakness

The reason dbrand was sued by Sony was because the side panels looked similar to the actual PS5 with the 2 notches on the top of the panels. Trimming them down won't infringe on Sony patents. And I doubt Nintendo can sue dbrand for red and blue colours

nintendo is like the irs of copyright laws

A bit of correction. Sony did try to sue dbrand but the lawsuit fell flat because there’s a law stating that anything that is outside of the console, phone or device such as a skin, screen protectors, and cases don’t need a license to sell. Example if I started creating Joycon replacements I will need a license to sell them. If I start creating cases for the switch I don’t need a license unless I’m specifying for Nintendo switch. I work around would to say for switch. Switch isn’t copyrighted or trademarked

So Nintendo now owns red and blue? How amazing

If you look inside the Steamdeck all the controls are seperate, I think you might actually be able to make removable joy cons.

They could have photoshopped the steam deck instead of using a bandsaw destroying it. Although it probably was fun for the person who got to do the honors.

I don't like the covers on the trackpad but other than that it looks good. Maybe try swapping the colors idk.

Gee, it's almost like hiring cut-rate lawyers will lead to them telling you whatever you want to hear.
