what would be interesting is if you could install windows on the docks SDD and leave Steam on the internal SDD that way you have a windows desktop and a kick arse linux handheld.

If it's connecting a egpu to the m.2 slot, someone tried that early in the steam deck life and it only works with the internal m.2 slot and not through the jsaux m.2 external that is connected through the USB c port.

It is one of the reasons I went with a gpd win max 2021 device. I am waiting for the next version of the gpd win 4 (the 5 or 6) and then replace my 2021 device. I have an egpu with a 3070 ti that is nice to use when playing games in desktop mode. (It's overkill I know due to the throughput of usb c etc I am losing 15 to 20 % of the power of the gpu )

I'm using RPG In A Box, a voxel based game engine on my deck, as well as running famitracker for music. Haven't tried my MIDI Keyboard yet but I'm sure there's no issue. The deck is really something else! An all in one system.

Yesss Part 2 might very well become a game changer! I'm going to hold off getting any dock until the video comes out.💯 I did look at the Amazon page, and I am confused about which m.2 ssd/nvme are compatible. The stock picture on the sales page shows a Samsung pro nvme, but the specs talks about keys, and I can't tell the difference between a Gen3x4 key and a Gen4x4 key. Please clear the mystery! 🙏

I just received Deck just over a week ago. Kinda wish I'd waited because it went on sale a day or two after I'd ordered. That said, I have no regrets paying full price. I am playing games that were in my library I hadn't touched previously.

It can't even play Hogwarts on max low at a steady 30fps.
It's ok, but deff needs a new version. Much more powerful chips out now for Integrated.
Still enjoyed the video! Just my feelings on the device as a whole.
