Women are more prone to UTIs than men due to their anatomical structure. The infection is more often caused by bacteria but can be a result of fungi. It is often a result of some form of irritation to the urinary tract as a result of sex, as well as the use of a diaphragm, spermicide, lubricant jelly, and condoms.

Women may be more likely to have a UTI if they have a weakened immune system. This is why holding on to your bladder, or not drinking enough water, could increase your chances of a UTI, especially if you have had a UTI before.

Other factors that can cause a UTI to include:
🔸 Diabetes
🔸 Menopause, as estrogen levels change
🔸 Prolonged immobility
🔸 Prolonged use of urinary catheters
🔸 Urinary structure birth defects
🔸 Urinary tract obstructions or blockages such as kidney stones
Being pregnant isn’t a risk factor for UTIs but if you have one while pregnant, the risk of it affecting the kidneys is greater.

This is my first time having a UTI and I got it because I🧍‍♀️🕊️🚫 and whilst I know it happens it’s sooo uncomfortable but I don’t know how to tell my mom because I don’t want her jumping to conclusions cuz she doesn’t know about it 😭

Now I feel uncomfortable with my stomach so I had vomited 3 days ago but still i feel uncomfortable 5 months ago I had back pain 5months ago and my WBC has increased so much and I fainted I got canula and injection course but it backs and now it seems i feel less than burning not while i pee but i feel there is concentration in my bladder and I'm not sure about my urine before firstly i though it was virginal secretions but now i thing it's from my bladder so I'm not sure and i feel i have a fever .
Ironically I have quiz with this topic tomorrow to I'm not gonna miss it 😅
And I'm gonna visit a doctor after tomorrow so I will see what the thing

So I jsut wanted to comment really quick because I honestly don’t know what to do and Im hoping Somone can give me an answer or somthing. So my problem is I somtimes feel like I need to pee when I don’t need to pee like I will go to the bathroom but then still feel like I Ned to pee then I will go try to pee and nothing will come out then the feeling gets more intense and becomes very uncomfortable. I am currently sitting up awake in the middle of the night because of this feeling. I have been tested for a uti and they said I have no uti I drink water constantly through out the day and I pee a lot also.. and I honestly I just don’t know what to do anymore this has been happening to me sense I was 10 years old and I honestly thought it was normal till about a year ago…I would love if somebody could help me
