I disagree with the doll theory of mind test. Obviously the two dolls know each other because you don't just hang out with a complete stranger and a basket, a ball and a box. So the doll who was away must know that her friend is a prankster who likes to move her stuff, so if she left her unsupervised it would be wiser to look anywhere but in the basket.

honestly i struggle with hyper empathy, so stuff like "autistic people cant put themselves into other peoples shoes!!" doesnt really apply to me because i grew up my whole life hyperfixated on observing people and body language and facial expressions and psychology is my number 1 special interest so ive actually been taken advantage a lot because i always excuse people behaviour because "oh they must have a reason..."

I have never heard anyone interpret "big, fat liar" as meaning the person is fat. I thought everyone understood that it just means the person lies a lot or told a big lie.

The grandmother is a serial killer with dementia. The girl is autistic and loves her grandma and so covers up her crimes. The grandma is putting a bleached human skull into the basket and walking away. The girl takes it and puts it in the box with the severed parts of grandma’s previous victims whose blood is seeping through the cardboard. Grandma comes back to find the basket empty. It doesn’t affect her since she lost her short term memory early on. She’s happy because she thinks she hasn’t killed today yet. Thus the little girl doesn’t realize that she is perpetuating the terror that grandma is inflicting on their town. - Okay, so how’s that? Am I autistic. This is what I came up with after a couple of minutes looking at the paused video.

Seeing the way you absolutely overthink everything into 'well yes but no bc not any more/not *all* the time' really helps me recognize that more fully in myself. I know I do it, but seeing someone else do it really helps to see how absolutely autistic that is.

I’m studying to become a high school science teacher and I have autism and ADHD. My father also works at an elementary school, which is basically an American primary school. The idea of a primary school teacher putting a student on the spot for being late, knowing that student is often late, refusing to accept “I don’t know” for an answer, and sending that student to detention for getting upset as a result even though they’re usually well-behaved, just sounds absurd to me.

Insisting "no, you DO want my number, no you DON'T have a boyfriend!", really got me XD

The thing that bothers me about the first image, the "Sally-Anne" test, is that in the last part, the basket is still covered. So why is the doll confused when they clearly haven't uncovered the basket to find the ball yet!? So confusing!

I once did the full version of the eye emotions test (I'm diagnosed autistic), and I actually got more correct than the average neurotypical, but the actual test is on how you work out the emotions; for me I was mostly working it out logically or using process of elimination, whereas a neurotypical would know more instinctually, it also took me much long than most nts

I always get full points at the 'reading emotions from the eyes' tests because the images they use are like the platonic ideals of how an NT psychologist imagines expressions, and in the suggestions they show there's only ever one that even remotely fits.

honestly one of the reasons i avoided a diagnosis for so long is cause i was terrified of that "make a story" task and IM A WRITER!!! like i'm always writing stories but the thought of having to make up a story on the spot terrifies me I definitely cannot lol im so glad my actual assessment didn't involve that

I was "diagnosed by tiktok" in the sense that I noticed that many things I found relatable had hashtags related to autism, so I looked more into it, read a lot about it, looked into the condition, did a deep dive into the literature, examined my whole life, struggled with it ("am I faking it?", "am I taking space?") and now I think the label fits but I don't have access to an official diagnosis, so I'm going with self-identification.

the story in the beginning: it's about a girl worshipping her grandma, the grandma relinquishing the holy orb that grands her the grandma powers, then the girl picks up the orb and she am become granma, behold.

I am always thinking, actually, probably too much. The thing is if a person asks me "what are you thinking" there's no way I can explain it without taking them on a 10 minute journey down my train of thought that got me to what I was thinking at the moment I was asked.
My ex-wife used to get annoyed with me because I would just randomly laugh, but I could never explain what I was laughing at because there was a complex chain of thoughts that led to the laugh that I could never explain in a way that would allow anyone else to see the humor.

About that "big fat liar" thing, i had a similar experience in third grade. We were learning about Helen Keller, and you know since a lot of the sources were from a while ago, they would use "deaf, dumb, and blind" to describe her inability to hear, speak, and see respectively. So, I repeated that phrase during a group discussion on her and the teacher chastised me and I was SO upset about it.

I think the spillage from the box is actually a very poorly illustrated shadow. Which goes to show that a better way to find out if someone is autistic is if they can immediately find flaws with the test. I remember often tests being so stressful for me, because often there was seemingly no correct answer to a multiple choice question, and that they were instead just looking for a subjective, psychological response. I didn't understand.

I love how despite her and I being so very different from each other our answers to all these “tests” are almost identical 😂 I feel so validated when I watch her videos.
