Trying to conceive naturally?
Looking to get pregnant faster?

Dr. Natalie Crawford, MD - board certified OBGYN and REI reviews one of the top questions she get asks as a fertility doctor about getting pregnant: what about sex? This is this information you need if you are trying to get pregnant and want to optimize your chances of getting pregnant naturally each month.

Topics covered include:
1. When should you have sex to get pregnant?
2. How do you detect ovulation?
3. How often should you have sex?
4. Does position matter when trying to get pregnant?
5. Does lube help or hurt when you are tying to get pregnant?
6. Do you need to put your legs up after sex?
7. Is it ok to pee after sex if you are trying to get pregnant?

*DISCLAIMER: I am a doctor but not YOUR doctor. Infertility is trying to conceive for 1 year or more without pregnancy (if under age 35) and trying for 6 months or more if you are over the age of 35. If your periods are not regular, you should seek medical evaluation with your gynecologist or fertility doctor regardless of how long you have been trying to conceive.

people who don't want to get pregnant, they always get pregnant; people who want, they never do no matter how hard they try...

Im a man, and I just typed in "tips for" and originally I was gonna type in tips for getting your car on jack stands 😂 but accidentally clicked the first suggestion which happened to be this so I watched it and it's very interesting. It's a beautiful thing that people are still trying to have their little families, family is beautiful. I hope to the people trying, I hope you have a beautiful little family one day 😊❤

Honestly… as a woman, no matter how many videos I see regarding tracking ovulation and the process of our cycles and the changes our bodies go through— I can never fully grasp the information. I’m 32 and it’s quite embarrassing. I wish they taught these things in school. Being a woman is more than wearing pretty colors and eating ice cream when sad… it goes down to our bones! The hormone changes, mood swings, unpredictable behavior during or before periods/pregnancy… the heavy feeling we get when trying to conceive and fail… Miscarriages, weight gain, hair loss during pregnancy and so much more. It’s so much it makes me want to cry. Lol I’m currently trying to conceive and I’m going through a rollercoaster of emotions— maybe I’m pregnant, who knows, I’m close to my two week wait & im just waiting at this point. But whew! 😅 Being a woman is only for those born as women who understand EVERY SINGLE aspect about being a biological woman.

I got pregnant ( 7 weeks now) taking letrozole and sex every other day the entire cycle. Sex every other day gives you a higher chance. Since I have PCOS I ovulate later. I did OPK once a day and I saw a peak on CD21. Confirmed ovulation through blood work. Then at 9DPO I tested and it was negative. I thought I was out. Later that night I felt a period type of cramp. Now I know it was implantation. I tested at 12dpo and it came back positive. Saw my little bean in an ultrasound. It can happen just don’t give up!!

I have endometriosis, so my periods have never been reliable, and I've tried getting pregnant with previous partners for years. My husband and I tried for two years without luck. Then, one month he was gone for practically the whole month and we didn't see each other more than the last two days of that month. A month later we had our first meeting at the fertility clinic. Turns out I was 4 weeks pregnant. Somehow we managed to time the only day he's home to when I'm ovulating. We should have played the lottery too.

Wow. Where to begin....
So to start, my husband and I have been trying for over 10+ years, and all of our family/friends understand this.
Yet, there's always "that couple" or "that person" who just cannot resist.
How do you all respond when an individual says "Take my kids!!! Be lucky that you're free and don't have to deal with them!!"
I always feel close to running away and crying, yet I've always held it together.
We've endured 5 miscarriages. Five. It's gut wrenching.
I'd love and appreciate any advice on how to handle these rude people SO much! Xo Thank you for listening. 💙

I cannot thank you enough as an unmarried 32 year old with no romantic love-stories to share, no teenage casual sex encounter stories either. But you guided me mentally and emotionally to mature for marriage as an Indian where sex-education is a Big zero!!

The cycle goes like this:

1) We menstruate 🩸 (cycle day 1 is first day of menstrual flow, not spotting)

2) Follicular phase (menstrual flow has stopped, egg is maturing prior to being release)

3) Ovulation (the egg is release and hoping to meet up with sperm for fertilization)

4) Luteal phase (post-ovulation but before next menstrual cycle - luteal phase in the “2 week wait” where we hope the egg has been fertilized and will implant in the uterus, but we’re waiting to see if our period comes or we can get a positive pregnancy test.)

Basically I don’t know what I’m doing, but I want to get pregnant. I’ve never tried too. Now, my husband and I are ready and I have no idea how to track it all to know when I’m ovulating. All I know is getting pregnant is actually hard.
