what's your opinion on all these volume junkies getting results. I prefer low volume high intensity but I see lots of 20 set, 20 rep workouts with lighter wieght all day at the gym. calisthenics ect. some of the black fellows on YouTube in New York are built like Zane or at least real darn close.
my guess is it's easier to repair from calisthenics workouts so it goes well for some.

Another great short! How quickly can a healthy 33 y.o. start doing H.I.T.? Should there be a break in or ramp up phase?

New subscriber from Germany here. Thanks so much for your videos, John. I have been binging them the last weeks. ❤👍

I am just in my 2nd round of the ideal routine. Trying to get everything as close to the original program as possible in my home gym. Two work stands (is it the right word? Sorry, I am no native speaker.) left and right for safety during bench press and squats. So I can drop the barbell there when I can’t get another rep.

I had to exchange 2 exercises due to lacking equipment. Instead of pull downs I do close grip chin ups, and instead of leg press I do squats.
Do you think this makes sense?

Anyway, keep up the great work! I especially love that you not only focus on young folks but also give advice for the older ones among us. ;)
