Yeah...this worked like a champ! Why Directv makes you go though a list of codes that don't work is stupid and a waste of time! None of the ones that had listed for my tv worked, but this did. Thanks.

IT WORKED!!!
I had my directv box powered off, & my TV powered off. It only took 34 tries and it turned on! Written, verbal, & visual instructions were perfect & easy to understand! I especially liked that you said to remove the batteries between each try. I tried watching other YouTube videos on this, but I could not get them to work for me. You're the BEST!!! THANK YOU!!!

Wow.. The first time I hit the up channel button my tv came on. lol.. I spent 40 minutes trying to type in each individual code and none of them worked. Your method worked in 10 seconds.. Awesome!

Thanks to you I fixed my mother in law her familyTV. She lives alone and don't even have the remote of this old TV Toshiba flat tube tv. Now she can see TV on the family. Not even the DirecTV installer could fix it because without the TV remote couldn't change the input to a video or hdmi option, which the TV didn't detect when connected the dish box. I used the DirecTV remote to change the input on the TV and done.

I spent 45 min with the DirectV tech right now trying to help me set up a new remote. He couldn’t figure it out after trying so many things. He finally gave up and said he was sending me a new remote. After hanging up I went on YouTube and tried different videos. Mine worked until I tried yours!!! Boom! It works! BIG THANK YOU! I did it!!!! It took a few trys but it finally worked! Thanks so much! Now I don't have to listen to my kids youtuber screaming because the volume was stuck on 50 for months during quarantine!!! My sanity has returned, thanks to you. I tried the 10 min video didn't work. Yours did work

Thanks. Solved at 0:07. This worked so well that the directional buttons on my remote controls my Firestick through my TV. Incredible and a nice pleasant surprise.

Pro tip; if certain TV options are missing from the code you used, then ‘skip’ that code and keep pressing channel down until the TV turns on or off again. (Either way works)

Yep, dude is legit... Had a broken ass remote for almost a year with a nee remote collecting dust because I didn't want to have to have Direct TV come out and or sit on the phone for hours with no help... Did this in less then 5 minutes, frfr!! Thanks brother 🙏🏽

First of all thanks for a great simplified video. It worked for me and was easy to understand. However, I have a Vizio TV and apparently there are many codes that partially work for this brand. On the fifth "successful" attempt, a code was found that worked for all functions. (ie power off didn't work for one, mute for another etc). But thanks so much again. The hint about removing the batteries was a big help as well.
