DirecTV Stream Remote Unresponsive. FIX!

This video is to help users with their DirecTV Stream Box and Remote.
If the box has sound but no video, power cycle box.
If the Remote is unresponsive, replace batteries, press
dash and APPS buttons until Remote flashes twice.
The Rewind and Fast Forward Buttons will generally sync
the remote.

I just received mine. An absolute miserable process with my Samsung TV. Couldn’t pair. Two and a half hours wasted. Before sending it back, I moved it to my LG TV. Paired quickly. I then moved it back to the large Samsung TV in the living room. Stayed paired. My wife is happy. Your video did help.

It worked for me! Thank you! Guys make sure your HDMI is on the Correct Channel! Then hold down the 2 arrow buttons on the remote to connect your remote to the tv once connected it should work! & Stop blinking red!

Even if you’re remote says paired in the settings, take the steps that are showed in the video to try repairing your remote

I had trouble paring my Panasonic and solve my issue by:

1) Start the pairing process over by going into the System, then into the Remote & Devices, then into Program Your Device, then go into TV and start over.

2) When I did this the first time each time when it asked me if the volume went up, I would not hear it go up and answered no. Even when the sound bar popped up, I answered no as the volume did not increase. As you go through all tests and answer no, it ends with no pairing.

3) What fixed it for me? The last time I went through the process when the sound bar showed up, I increased the volume on my remote manually and it increased the volume. I answered yes this time around and now remote turns the TV off and on, mutes, controls volume. PROBLEM SOLVED!

All along when it asked me if the volume was going up, it never did on its own, thus the failure.

I went through all of these steps with a customer support person, I still have a problem with the TV not turning off with the Gemini remote. Direct TV is replacing my remote although I don't think this will help.

I can get the lights flashing and the pairing lights flashing, but the remote will not pair to my samsung TV. What do I do? I've reset it a dozen times.
