HOLY CRAP! THE LAST ONE WORKED! MY MIC SOUNDED SO QUIET AND ALL OF THE SOLUTIONS ON THE INTERNET ARE USELESS! I TRIED USING THE BOOST AND VOLUME BUT ALL OF THEM ARE AT MAX SETTINGS AND STILL QUIET! REINSTALLING THE DRIVERS LIKE THE LAST STEP WORKS! THANK YOU SO MUCH IT TOOK ME 2 DAYS!

My built-in Realtek(R) microphone only started working again when I used the Run services.msc method. Even though it was already selected as 'Automatic', I selected Disable then Automatic. I am glad to see a few different suggested methods in this video. My problem occurred shortly after a Windows update AND a MS Office update.
