How To Fix Mic Picking Up ALL PC Sounds (Realtek Manager)(Discord)

PLEASE NOTE- If you are are not seeing Realtek audio manager, this means that your motherboard uses a different sound card and therefor a different audio manager with different software. If you would like to mess around with the settings of your motherboards soundcard to try and get it to work, go to device manager, and then sound, video, and game controllers. Find the name of your audio manager under that and then search up the audio manager on your pc. Then you can mess with the settings from there.

This one doesnt work for some people, so try this one

the file named "RAVCpl64" and it will give you the audio manager, once you're there, go to "Device avanced settings"

the rest is in the video. edit :if it doesnt work, then try his method, sorry for just saying "DO NOT GO TO THE ONE HE SAID" kinda sounded a lil too much

Hey guys hope this helps if you can’t open Realtek find what brand you’re motherboard is mine is a B450 Tomahawk Max so I searched that up and put drivers went to msi which is the brand yours might be different and find realtek driver on there website download and it should open just fine

An additional note. At 1:24, you can see you have two microphone effects. The second one is AEC. I activated that and, in my case of Twitch streaming through OBS and Zoom calls, my mic stopped picking too much environment audio. Now it's perfectly stable.

Hi everyone! I think ive figured it out! You have to somehow "tricked" the sound driver/software to think your headset with mic is 2 different devices. You will need an extra headphone/earphone (with or without mic) to achieve this. This is how i do it :

1. If you use a headset with Y-cable attachment attached to the BACK panel, just remove the speaker out port and leave the mic in port still attached.
2. Next, attach your extra headphone/earphone in the speaker out port on your FRONT pc panel. This will somehow "trick" it.
3. You will now perform the sound test using windows Voice Recorder. Open the application, and try to record with playing background sound/music while speaking to your headset mic. After that, listen back to your recording. It should not record the background noise but only your voice. If that is the case, It is done.
4. Lastly, put everything back to your original setup and perform the sound test again to see if it works. Your speaker and mic is now 2 different devices.

I could honestly kiss you thank you so much I have also had this problem for a while now. Like 2 months maybe 3. My friend had it for 4 months and we've been trying to solve this issue together by emailing discord, Microsoft, uninstalling apps, reinstalling apps, going on Reddit, and Quora.
