The fact that mobs in the starting areas actually teach this mechanic but most people kill the enemy and then wonder why they are stuck for a few seconds after the fight, is exactly why Hall of the Novice needs a massive rework.

I sometimes don't even notice when an enemy is doing that, either cause my camera is a bit zoomed in on me or I'm looking at using my abilities to click them.
Of course I am one of the people who actually listens to others on what to do but I get caught off guard

Focused target bar --> scaled to 200%
👆 Put this near the middle of your screen. At the beginning of a boss encounter, right click on boss --> focus target.

Now you can still tell when boss is casting Mortal Gaze (or any other mechanic), even when your camera is not facing him, or you are targeting ads.

As a tank main, I understood this mechanic around lvl 70. I was wondering what I had to do to avoid the attack, then I noticed the eye appear on these crowdcontrol attacks.

When my mentor told me to look the other / opposite way from the red eye mechanic, i looked away irl instead of hovering my camera and moving my character :(
