UK Virgin Media super hub - how to block devices

A quick tutorial of how to setup your VM router to block / control given devices internet access.

Note: Seeing as the timed blocked functions didn't always work, I have moved away from using the VM super hub as a router and now use it in modem mode with a 3rd party router that works much better in terms of timed access controls etc. I haven't used the VM super hub router since about April 2015 now so the interface may have changed since then

Does this work using the MAC address, I have a few mobiles on my device that do not belong to me, but there IP address is not showing only the MAC. I have copied what you have done but on the MAC will this have the same affect as one of the phones is still showing would also like to thank you for the time you have taken out to do this video, it has been a great help.

I am trying to block internet access to my younger brother on the same superhub for the hours 23:00 till 11:00 for the holidays time, but when I put those times in the labels, I get a message "Incorrect time format. Should be HH:MM" I was trying to set it somehow different but still doesn't work, any help please?

This is good but not good enough as i need to block 7 devices between 21.00-05.00 sun-thursday.
I did try this but theres not enought room on the list to do this... any idears

Is there a way to delete attached devices from your Super Hub 1? Not block, I just want to remove the devices totally from the list.

But I can't seem to add PM to AM times like I could with my old virgin router. I want to block from 11pm to 6am but it can't seem to compute that. Also, it seems to want to only apply one rule for all devices, so won't let me put different time slots on different devices. It also hangs regularly when I try and add a rule and then falls over and in doing so sets all devices to blocked. Soooo frustrating compared to the old router that made light work of Mac filtering.

I live in a shared house, I have changed the default "changeme" hub password (superhub 2) and have entered all of my allowed devices into the mac list. Somebody in the house when I'm not there keeps reseting the hub to back to factory settings using a pin in the reset button and keeps connecting their devices via the WiFi connection button on the front of the hub, how can I stop this from happening, I get the need to change passwords for people that are not in your house from obtaining access but if someone inside can simply stick a pin in and reset the hub then what's the point?? Any suggestions welcome

Is there no way to block devices via their mac addresses rather than their IP?
