A physics rework would be good. But I'm not really a fan of the new graphics, contrast and landscape from this engine. The old DayZ definitely has a landscape that sets it apart from all the other game titles and gives experience and calmness like no other game does.

its highly possible to get a dayZ 2 with Arma 4 coming out and even if its not planned officially its very exciting to see what community does with this engine

To be honest: I am absolutely no fan of this new Engine. I love DayZ because of its consistency. I've been playing DayZ since 2015 now and the game itself didn't really change that much. And this is why i love it. It's a safe place for me where everything is like in the good old days. I don't want a new engine or a another survival game. I just want DayZ how it is and how it was. <3

We all love DayZ. But we all know it also needs huge improvements in terms of performance and graphics. So this is great news indeed. If someone can mod this into Reforger to showcase what can be done, then it's only a matter of time before it becomes a reality!

Dayz would be an easy game to make a 2nd, or some could say 3rd edition. There’s no story and most of the assets and mods could just be carried over to a new version. Honestly though it’s not necessarily needed. The current graphics aren’t terrible and old systems can run it pretty well. Also the transition wouldn’t happen right away. I believe more then half of the players would stay on the current version. Not sure how much people would pay for just better graphics.
