I’ll never forget seeing mountains for the first time. Coming from Minnesota to Colorado was a very memorable experience!

From a Colorado native, if you don’t have a good amount of money, you can’t afford to move here. Many natives are moving away for cheaper places to live. Sad because it wasn’t always like this.

Born and raised in Colorado. I’ve lived in California, Kentucky, and Louisiana. My family moved to Texas. None of those states come close to here. I’d happily work harder and pay more to stay in Colorado where I feel at home. Also, there’s no words to describe how it makes you feel to be atop a hill and see the snow capped mountains in the distance.

I've been in Colorado since 1999. I've loved it here. The crowds and costs will be the reason I leave one day.

As a native got some things to point out. First off the weather does vary quite a bit due the altitude changes. The eastern plains and front range don't get as cold as it does in the mountains and when it does snow it normally melts in a few days. Summers get the hotest in the south eastern part of the state.

One problem Colorado has is that all the growth is concentrated in the front range, thus making the area crowded and expensive. The ones that say "We're full, don't move here" are likely from the front range and don't want it to get more crowded expensive than it already is. The eastern plains is pretty desolate with farming towns and the western slope can only grow so much with the mountains and being so high up. Pueblo is the most affordable city in the state, but its also considered the worst part of the state. However I met some people from Chicago who moved there and they enjoy Pueblo since they wanted to stay out of big areas like Denver and Springs was to touristy for them. So depending what part of the country a person is moving from it may be an the town may be suitable for some.

Even out of the mountains the front range and plains are still really high so the altitude may effect some even out of the mountains. I suggest to visit first just to how your body feels in the area.

My husband and I lived there three times. Its not cheap to live there. Granted it beautiful place. We lived in the following areas Lakewood, Centennial, Colorado Springs. They also have most Mary Jane shops also. My husband and I couldn't afford to live there anymore that why we moved back to Midwest.

Word of warning, DON'T move to peublo thinking "the cost of housing is way better than Springs, so I'll just move there.". The crime rate is ridiculous. Totally not worth it.

I’ve recently bought land near Fairplay. It was cheap and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I drove through the state on a few occasion going cross country and I just fell in love with it. By far one of the most gorgeous state I’ve seen and I’ve been to 20 including territories. For some context I live in Orange County California, lived in Hawaii for 12 years, 4 in Puerto Rico, 8 in NYC, 2 yrs in Japan and 6 months in Alaska. All gorgeous in their way but Colorado is now home.

Glad I lived there in early 70's when it was still the Colorado everyone thinks they are seeking.

I know Briggs wants to make this channel economical so he should become a professional tour planner and trip planner. He knows all the best and worst areas and could probably plan the best "best kept secrets" outings for people who want to get away! Great videos and I always recommend this channel for anyone thinking about moving or traveling

I saw pictures in a calendar when I was young and thought it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. A whole mountainside and valley full of autumn colors and knew I had to live there one day. It was Colorado. I hope to in about two years.

So many people move to Colorado and become homeless. 3rd most expensive state currently(1600-2000 for a 1 bedroom apartment), 3hr drives to get to the edge of the Mtns due to everyone going up on the weekends, horrible air quality, drier than Las Vegas(Nose bleed capital), non-diverse cuisine(hope you like Mexican food), and a lack of available homes to buy.

Colorado is the best fucking thing on earth, love the people, the mountains, the cold, if I could find the way I’d move back in a heart beat.
