Oh nice! My climbing gym is the one just next to the Tunnel (Literally 50m from the tunnel), most holds in the tunnel are old because those are the old holds that they don't use in the climbing gym anymore

That route tells the story of the king of Spain/Spanish royalty. For example, the elephant hold represents a time when he killed an elephant in Africa while hunting and an infamous photo of him next to his kill surfaced. Ppl were not happy about that. A local told me what a bunch of the holds on the route represent exactly but I forgot it all. Basically, it boils down to a strong dislike for royalty and their decisions.

In Sevilla, there is also a big car bridge with holds mounted and it’s also free! Huge overhang routes, starting with 6c+. It’s a cool place

Oh, that's fantastic! Thanks for sharing, please shoot more videos about such unusual climbing spots and tell us about them with your great sense of humor!

I really liked your video--great editing. I especially liked that you mentioned the author of this weird creation--Manolo, el Heavy. The various bat symbols you see in the tunnel are a reflection of his time when he had to furtively set routes in the middle of the night to avoid the police. Now, I believe the Barcelona city government actually has sanctioned the place and put up official signs--although I'm not sure how much financial help Manolo actually gets for his efforts and the materials involved. And, yes, pretty much every object has some symbolic meaning as manolok96 explains below (Is he THE Manolo???). There are a number of other urban climbing spots around Barcelona, but this one is by far the best. Many people just go there to traverse back and forth with the feet just a foot or two above the ground--probably pumpy 6a on one wall and maybe 6a+ pumpy on the other if you go all the way across (it's a long traverse!) Yes, the holds are slick (especially feet) but you sort of get used to it. Thanks Noah! Daniel J (Barcelona) P.S. If you go there, pick up trash if you see any--I always do that. I think it reflects on us as climbers so I like to leave the place nice when I go.

I don't know the first thing about climing, nor have I ever been interested. But damn if you don't deserve my subscription for a) showing me a bit of my own town I didn't know existed, and b) having such a positive and attitude.

What a climb had my anxiety and at all in the art that went into that tunnel. First glance I thought it was an old well yano. Thinking about that now it’d be so cool to see someone make an old well an awesome climb like this tunnel. We’ll much love everybody thank youse for being you.😊

I don’t wanna be that guy, but at 3:27, the draw’s going in the wrong way, right? (I have the same ones!!) In what situation would one want to swap the orientation like this?

I didn't know about this but understood the cultural context of the theme, which made it double hilarious.

Wow... thats neat. My Gym membership is like.. 120 usd a month. Which, for me is totallllyy worth is, I love my gym but it would be cool to have an ourdoor place like this somewhere free to the public. Seeing that dude on the wall though with no spot and no crash pad definatly was a lil uhh... concerning. - Thanks for sharing

quick question...for sport and trad climbing, how do you get the final carrabina/protection piece once youre at the bottom of the wall? like once the second person has ascended, got all the other connections then theres that last one which they descend on - how do you get that back?? EDIT: i see in the vid that the routes you did had pre-placed final connections, but do all routes have those?
