This was simply a display for challenge in Newfoundland during the Halloween season. The challenge was to go into the woods during the event to find this tree. The location was kept secret as part of the challenge.

My coworkers' son was killed back in Cadillac Michigan. whoever did it had hung him up from a tree. He was there so long he decayed and became assimilated into the tree. Local law enforcement refused to investigate this.

Hey, a Newfoundlander here.

The province consists of the island of Newfoundland & the land area of Labrador - which is located to the east of Quebec. The actual name of the province is Newfoundland & Labrador.

The circle on the map cuts off the entire south coast of the island & includes more of Quebec than the whole province.

There are two indigenous groups on the island of Newfoundland. The now extinct Beothuk and the Mi'kmaq. Neither of these groups buried their deceased inside of trees. Nor did they intentionally bury them within the roots of trees.

I suppose a tree could grow near the graves... but the bodies would not be magically pulled up into the tree.

Some groups did have "burial trees", or scaffold tree burials. The burial tree would have the caskets of the deceased hung on the branches. The scaffold tree burials would be man-made scaffolds made in the trees to place their deceased.

There are two indigenous groups in Labrador - the Innu & the Inuit. I'm not as familiar with their burials... I can only say I've never heard of these types of burials before.

Based on my knowledge of native trees to the island of Newfoundland... it looks like the trees in the video may be birch? I've also never known birch trees to have long grey hair....

It's also easy to pick out that the "head" & hair has been digitially added. Something people try to cover up by shaking the image/video.

Also, Newfoundlanders just call it "the woods".
