Ranking EVERY Minecraft Mob Vote Loser

Mojang has finally announced that the Minecraft mob vote is dead! The mob vote has been incredibly controversial for the past few years, so I am quite pleased that it’s officially ended. However, that still leaves 11 mobs that lost the vote that never got added to the game. So just in time for minecon live 2024 I’m going to be ranking all 11 mob vote losers to see which I think should be added to the game first!

The worst part about the glare is that after the vote ended, they came out and said that it could have also actually helped you light up the dark areas

interestingly, jeb said that maybe the glare would help you iluminate dark areas, but he said DURING THE VOTE WHEN HE WAS ALREDY LOSING. Probaly this wouldnt change the results of the vote, but it just shows another part of why the mob vote was so hated, because they never explained what each mob exactly does.

To my knowledge (yes I'm sure other people are saying this too, and THIS too), Jeb wanted the Glare to be added for two reasons. The smaller reason was a way to telegraph darkness information to Bedrock, which doesn't have an F3 screen. The larger reason is Jeb regrets giving Java players access to the F3 menu and wanted a tangible, diegetic, in-game solution to provide darkness information.

The abyss monster of the 2017 poll made me think, making parts of the ocean so super deep and dark with an abyss biome would be sick. Also im tired of evaluating mobs only based on use, the warden drops jack all but he one of the best mobs because he's awesome and scary.

I vehemently supported the Glare because so many people play Bedrock, which doesn't have the F3 screen for light levels. Remember, at the time mobs started spawning at light level 7, not 0, so it would've been good for lighting up areas that could theoretically spawn mobs. Even now, it'd still be helpful for Bedrock players who are hard of seeing.
