Maybe this is part of the 3 but I feel like one is practicality, and population.
So many things, especially software work really well when used by a smaller group, or when used with prexisting knowledge, but then fall apart when implemented in the practical world. Think, glitches from server lag, bugs from user inputs, security issues from oversights, cost problems when supply is limited, etc. Population also seems so important, I can think of dozens of products that worked really well, until they were made public and then were destroyed or abused or crashed, etc almost immediately because they were not tested or there are oversights when accounting for the larger user population size.
