DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POC AND MVP | PROOF OF CONCEPT | MINIMUM VIABLE PRODUCT | InterviewDOT

A proof of concept (POC) is an exercise in which work is focused on determining whether an idea can be turned into a reality. In software development, for example, a proof of concept would show whether an idea is feasible from a technology standpoint.

A minimum viable product, or MVP, is a product with enough features to attract early-adopter customers and validate a product idea early in the product development cycle. In industries such as software, the MVP can help the product team receive user feedback as quickly as possible to iterate and improve the product.

The diagram shown for MVP is incorrect and misleading. If the final pdt is a car, then MVP cannot be a motorcycle. MVP is actually the PDT albeit with minimal essential features.
