Here's a fundamental breakdown of how to close off the distance in boxing, get inside, and land body punches without getting hit. Many people have trouble with head movement when setting up punch combos, so here is a tutorial on how to properly slip punches, get your head out of that center line of fire, and create angles to land powerful hooks to the body and straight body shots.

Body shots are under taught and not used enough or thought of enough in street fighting or even in MMA. You see them used more in boxing and kicks going to the body in MMA, but not as many punches. Good subject and it shows once again the giant importance of footwork.

Great video!!!! I ve been trying to work on my bodyshots and movement more lately.. The further I get in Muay Thai and MMA in general I realize it's not at all about land super powerful shots... It's speed, MOWVEMENT, and defense

You can see the clear emphasis of Dom Cruz style/footwork in your vids, and I really appreciate that. Next gen shit. His defense is superbly underrated, and I've said that way before beating TJ.

Dude, I love that shuffle switch on the jab! Been working switch step jab to rear (what would have been lead) head kick, liked the idea of same side combos but maybe I'll throw in that body shot beforehand, would def let me set and balance before the kick.
