Why not the double IMPROVED clinch? Wouldn't it be stronger or too bulky? I might try this on the bottom of a leader but not on my hook. Pretty cool though

I've tried this knot. It is easy to tie and stronger, yes, but doubles the number of tag ends. I have a real problem with those short ends (especially when using mono) hooking on weeds and other cr*p in the water. I found I was spending more time cleaning stuff off my line than I liked so I stopped using this knot. Probably works fine in clear water and with much softer lines.

That's a Double Cinch knot. It's alright. Try a double uni-knot. Tie a Uni knot with the line doubled over like that.

I was expecting that loop end to go over the hook and then cinch down.
