Honestly US and western cowardice when it comes to Ukraine is getting pretty tiring. The US shouldn't publicly be telling Ukraine not to strike Russian refineries when it's a strategically sound move. The oil will be sold regardless, but it hurts Russia's bottom line.

We should talk about GDP in terms of Happy Meals from here on out.

14:20 If another incident like the missile hitting that one farm in Poland occurs, I can see Poland and maybe Romania stating that they will intercept any missile within 50km or so of their border in Ukraine. Shooting down a missile is purely a defensive measure, so Russia would no argument or foreseeable recourse to that. Are they going to try to argue that intercepting a Russian missile bound for a Ukrainian power plant in western Ukraine near the Polish border is an offensive action? No. Because that's illogical. There would be no argument, so theyd just have to accept that they cant fire at any targets within that area, which means Ukraine could move anti-air assets in those areas to other places.

@GoodTimesBadTimes, please make correction, Belousov was never a financial minister of Russia, he was first deputy prime-minister, aide to president of Russia and minister of economic development.

Trust to you reports built on fact-cheking

You didn’t mention Russia receiving aid from China, North Korea, Iran, Syria and its African proxies (due to Wagner interference).

Covert Cabal has been counting the number of combat vehicles left in stockpiles, with commercial satellite footage on his channel every few months, and yeah, Russia is going to run out of tanks and other combat vehicles sooner rather than later. The sanctions _are_ working at keeping production rates of tanks & other complex military items below consumption rates, despite sanction evasion tactics, it's just working _very slowly_ because of how big the soviet stockpiles were.

Even without NATO providing weapons Ukraine, the Russian military is progressing really slowly.

Russia is losing time while Ukraine is losing actual people, territory, energy infrastructure and much more unfortunately. It's great to be optimistic, but positive self-help is very far from real reporting

My impression is that the US's public statements discouraging the bombing of Russian refineries are mostly for appearances and plausible deniability. Russia is familiar with these kinds of statements, they make them all the time.

The main problem of such predictions is that Russia can decide either advance or cease its advance
And Ukraine leans on the West, which is neither willing nor able to provide Ukraine with all necessary weapons to breakthrough Russian defense lines

The conflict as for me doesn't seem to prolong for a long time, we will see advances only to promote one's positions in potential negotiations

Russia is spending a lot more than 7% of GDP. At least double that. The vast majority of their budget is classified or just off the books. But fantastic video. One of the best high level perspectives I’ve seen.

Your calculations are all good etc but you don't take into account that any moment China can greatly ramp up Russian support and then it's a whole different story...

Russia has been "running out of time" since the start of the war..

If the West sustains Ukraine in the war for the next 2 years, Russia will lose. It will run out of post-soviet stocks and financial reserves. Historically speaking Russia is prone to lose ofensive wars after 3 years tops: Crimean war, Russian-Japanese war, the WW I.
