Cultivating Stillness for Compassionate Orientation

Can our orientation shift toward compassion?

What happens when we face our fears with intention?

Consider this: we give ourselves permission to be present for the wellbeing of all sentient beings. It begins with our zazen meditation practice.

In the quietude and stillness, our breath descends into our lower belly. We observe this breath. Our thoughts, like tidal waves, rise and dissolve. Yet, we find ourselves returning to the breath.

In this practice, we nurture stillness. We learn the art of returning, time and again, to the present moment. We allow the present moment to guide us, to teach us. From this stillness, compassion naturally blossoms.
