Don't let Kindred fool you. That is the most mainstream of her books. I just learned (then forgot immediately) that there is a name for people who don't visualize what they read. So interesting! I was OBSESSED with the old V. The new one was eh...but I watched it because of how much I loved the old one.

So many of these are on my TBR too 😁 I read The City of Brass a while ago, and loved it (I really need to continue the series 😬).
I’ve picked up The Dispossed because of Mishelle too 🤣

I love this video!! I’m planning on reading some Le Guin this year…. So if you’re down for a buddy read, I’d love to set something up. The Joy Luck Club is a solid read. I’m working through classics in 2022.

Walking to the library is a great goal! I should do that too :D Great list of books - some of these are on my TBR too - and some I should probably add! :D I'll be interested to see your thoughts on these.

Ah these seem like some great goals and some pretty interesting books on this list that I look forward to hearing your thoughts on. Especially the sci-fi type ones as I don't necessarily enjoy diving into sci-fi myself but I enjoy hearing people talk about it. I honestly can't believe that February will mark my first full year on booktube. I don't have any solid goals but I'm thinking I will set my Good Reads goal at 60. That seems reasonable to me as i think I've read around 54 this year with maybe the chance to finish one or two more by New Year's day and I only started properly reading at the end of January. I didn't properly get into the flow of it for a month or two either. I know I want to get too the next First law book, Lisa Renee Jones has the second book in the Samantha Jazz series set for release in February and Beth O'Leary has a new book in april. Oh I would also love to get through The Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy by September to get me in the mood for Amazon's Middle Earth show. I am also very keen to dedicate myself to getting a few more short stories and poetry out as I've loved writing this year. So only a few goals then :D.

Great books on your list! I own a couple of them and have read a couple. I don’t know if I want to set a number for 2022. We will see! The Martian 💗

Yay! I really enjoyed Children of Time. Everyone seems to love Tad Williams, should I check out his work? I am very excited to hear your thoughts on The Dispossessed.

My goal for 2022 will probably be 45 books again. XD So a 100 seems like a lot! =) I'll cross my fingers for you. I really loved "The Martian" when I read it! It's very funny but also has so much science in it too. =) I hope you'll enjoy it too! I still haven't read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" because I'm afraid of reading it. "The Kite Runner" destroyed me so I don't know if I could handle it. Great video! I'm very curious what you'll think about all those books!

I always enjoy your videos, I feel like we'd be good friends in *real* life 😇 Would you be interested in doing a buddy read in the new year? 100 books in a year is a feat, especially to consistently meet!
It would be nice to stay up-to-date with new publications but I also can't really be bothered 😂 I would like to have the privilege of reading some ARCs in 2022 though! The cover of "Shadowmarch" is gorgeous! I definitely need to read "Jews Don't Count, " growing up in the US vs moving to Europe has been really eye-opening in how differently the struggles/discrimination of Jewish people is acknowledged and talked about in the US. Completely understand your reservations with "A Thousand Splendid Suns." It's absolutely beautiful and equally heartbreaking. It's really worth the read though
