OK I bought a TCL GOOGLE [2024] but I did have the roku app on my previous tv non smart. So after repeated tries yesterday I did get the roku app on the goodle tv. To me they are both similar with many of the same channels with some differences. I had tried using the youtube guides that show how to get roku onto my firestick but with no success on that. Mainly I wanted to upgrade to the smart tv 4k since it was on sale to boot at best buy. Yes I am a cord cutter so being able to watch certain programs and live tv . I did also invest in a master channel flatenna which works good for me even though Im at least 35 mi from my local towers. I receive my local including are 39 channels. over the air. One nice thing on the google tv is that the ION channel is built in. So being a sports fan there are some ball games on it which are very nice in 4k. On the 39 channels mainly just the locals cbs4, abc, nbc, and fox are in 4k. So as mentioned before the ION being built in is also 4k. So being able to watch the Fever and Caitlin Clark for games on that channel are great for me.
