I ALWAYS wondered why Chewie was allowed to keep C3PO. It never made any sense. Like, they basically handed them a computer in a jail cell. This clears it all up. :)

I was always fascinated by why Vader wouldn't allow Boba Fett to take the shot to kill Chewbacca. With C-3PO on the Wookie's back, perhaps Vader didn't wanna see the droid destroyed.

I remember reading that comic when I was 10 or 11 and my heart melting when you saw the realization come across vader that this was THE droid he made as a kid. Episode 3 still had not been released so the specifics of his fall to the dark side still weren't known but seeing him try to reject and then accept his past was a great tale.

At the end of ''the Empire strikes back'' as Boba Fett wanted to shoot Chewbacca, Vader stopped him, some believe he didn't want C3PO to be destroyed again, now i also want this theory to be true :(!

When your evil for so long and seeing the face of an old friend you used to be concerned about, Sometimes the compassion always takes over, Anakin was always friended to C-3PO even if he get's himself in trouble sometimes he has never argued about anything to him since he's like...Alfred (in a way) but only robotic and also always get in trouble and always worried since he's not a programmed droid to fight in war
