Just weeks after the destruction of the Death Star at Yavin, Darth Vader was ordered to negotiate supply materials with Jabba the Hutt’s representative at the Imperial weapons factory on Cymoon 1. But when Vader arrived, he quickly discovered a Rebel team had infiltrated the base. Avoiding sniper fire, Vader placed the facility on full alert when he suddenly detected the presence of the Force-sensitive pilot who had destroyed the Death Star. Navigating the corridors, Vader came face-to-face with the would-be Jedi, unaware the Rebel was actually his son. Disarming the boy, Vader recognized the lightsaber as the one he had constructed as a Jedi long ago, and the boy who stood before him could only have received it from his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. As Vader prepared to execute the boy, an AT-AT walker, hijacked by the other Rebels, stepped between them, knocking the two apart.

Very strange that as Darth Vader recognized his own lightsaber, he didn't even consider the fact to capture him instead of killing him...he had him in front if him with a lightsaber, and didn't sense his high Midi-chlorian count like his own... that's strange too.

I want to see all of this original trilogy lost stories as animation. A lot of stuff happened that we don't know.

Is Vader Down still canon? This story takes place right after the Death Star's destruction, when a Rebel force discovers Vader crashed on a distant planet ... much to the Rebels' regret. Naturally the only Rebel to stand any chance against Vader is Luke.
