django was great. it was realistic. i agree with quentin. do people honestly think slavery was better than how it was portrayed in the movie? well it wasn't. and the N word was sure used A LOT!! that was the whole point of using it in the first place, to sort of "establish" a "difference" between whites and blacks. Americans should be proud of how far they've come, seen their history and all, instead of criticizing the movie and its language and violence. just saying :)

Got to agree on the Jackson point. He nailed that part so well I think he deserves a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for it.

Well he did win an oscar. And there are other videos where Foxx said DiCaprio gave him advice. So I believe it was mutual. He may not be the best actor, but you can't deny that he is talented.

How can you say that he's not that good an actor? I do respect your opinion but he's been in some of the greatest films, Shutter Island, The Aviator, The Departed, Inception, Catch Me If You Can just to name a few, he's one of the greatest actors we've ever seen!

I agree! I think he should have won it for Hoover.. Hes such an awesome actor.. He and Johnny Depp.. They are both just so entertaining and just draw you into their character. very convincing.

Those are actually the least of the movies he should've gotten an oscar for. He was way, WAY better in 'Basketball Diaries, ' 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape, ' 'The Aviator, ' and 'The Departed.'

Actually the Civil War was for black slaves as capital. The North was going through the Industrial Revolution with multiple businesses and needed labor which was consolidated in the South. The only way to get black slaves from the south to the north would be to strip them from their "masters". The only way to was to ban slavery. The South did not want to give up that labor and that in itself sparked the secession and then the Civil War. Basically the Civil War was fought for monetary profit.
