He’s definitely talking about Will Smith. There are quotes from Will saying how him and Quentin could never come eye to eye on how the story ended. He had a problem with the “violence” and wanted the answer to be “love”.

For all the people saying it’s DiCaprio, I think it could have been Jonah Hill. The original version of the script, which leaked before it came out, had a long section of the movie involving a slaver played by Jonah Hill and Broomhilda. In that version, Hill’s character owned Broomhilda before she ended being owned by Calvin Candie. Jonah Hill was still in the movie as one of the proto-klan members but that whole section was cut.

This has Leo written all over it. He did the same thing with the movie Don’t Look Up and it’s been reported that he wanted to do rewrites for his next movie Killers of the flower moon.
