There is no Inglorious Basterds nor Django without Landa or Dr Schultz. Majestic actor

Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa is the most perfect casting I’ve ever seen.

without a doubt; Walzt made that movie what it is; amazing - not to take away from the other actors, but Christoph is on a whole other level! 👏🏻👏🏻

I’ve always admired Tarantino’s enthusiasm. He’s still such a fan.

To think that in his first 2 breakout US movies he won Academy Awards for both Inglorious Bastards & Django Unchained …he’s just incredible

The gleeful look on Tarantino's face at the end where he says "We're making a movie" is so beautiful.

I never knew that was just how he talks. 😂

I know Mr. Waltz in person and I can tell he's quite humble, down to earth and HIGHLY INTELLIGENT man

Hans Landa is one of the most skillfully demanding roles in cinema history, and Christoph Waltz rose to the challenge beautifully. There's a reason he won an Oscar for it.

I still remember seeing Inglourious Basterds in the theater for the first time… The genius of Landa’s character and that acting performance from Waltz was that it was *not* a slow burn! And it was *not* a performance that “grew on you” or that you realized was truly brilliant while the credits rolled or while you discussed the movie driving home.

Rather, from that very first scene he does with the dairy farmer, you KNOW that this is a legendary acting performance. Even though I had NEVER seen Christoph Waltz in a single film up to that point and had no clue whatsoever who he was, my eyes were immediately *riveted* to him and stayed that way no matter who he happened to be doing the scene with.

He was absolutely brilliant, something like an elegant sophisticated villain.

Can't imagine other actors playing Hans Landa. That character is not only really genius, but also has aura with him. Not many actor has that kind of skill.

The way Tarantino said “We’re making a movie”, you can just feel the excitement in him. Every film student probably has a moment like that. :)

One of the greatest characters and performances I’ve ever seen. He had me in total awe after that first scene and his impact on me just continued throughout the movie.
