When I was in Egypt, I took a cab from Cairo to Giza with my wife and on the way this man jumped on the road, forcing the cab to go into a deserted shopping area. Then he tried to sell me crap. I was so pissed off I told I told him to f**k off. The guy was shocked and implied that he could have me and my wife killed. Cab driver looked extremely nervous. Be careful when you travel in Egypt.

The key to visiting Egypt is to avoid any interaction with strangers. They don't want to be your friend they just want to scam you. If they try to get your attention ignore them and keep walking. I'm here now and can tell you this works the best.

hahaha im here now for a month. without camera there will be less scams. im also from germany so i can compare. i noticed that if you start laughing at the first price they give to you, they will realise or think that you know the prices. worked every time

Egypt was probably the worst place I ever visited. Constant bartering, constantly being followed and haggled, just so many rude people with zero respect. On our last day I was so exhausted I lost my temper and told one man to "get f*cked and leave me alone". I know many people who say the same thing about North Africa, particularly Egypt
