I just wanted to say that I started off with an 1050 on the SAT and I started watching your videos and really studying hard and I got a 1170 (a 75% scholarship), I'm hoping for a 1290 to get a full ride!!! Thank you so much, I honestly couldn't have improved so much if it weren't for you.

If the sat ever asks the product of all values of m, you can use c/a

8:52 you can use a method for finding the product. If sum is -b/a, then product is c/a.
These two methods were taught to me when I was in 10th Grade (in India btw).

As a note, we meant "discriminant" instead of "determinant" for 7:30. Thanks to all of our viewers that caught the mistake!

There is simple tip: if x1, x2 are roots of the equation ax^2+bx+c then the sum of the roots is -b/a and for the product it is c/a

I’m in algebra 2 right now (I’m a freshman) so these are easy to me at the moment, but I just hope I remember all the algebra in a few years when I actually take the SAT 😅

The "song" is simply the equation to the beat of Pop Goes the Weasel. My 10th/11th grade math teacher taught us it. Makes it easier to remember.

Honestly I don’t know what happened but I changed my studying tools for the SAT and my math score on practice tests has gone from mid 600s to higher than 700. On my most recent one I got a 790, so I hope I can replicate that on my SAT.

for the sum of all values on that second example, you guys could also remember that if you make it into ax^2-bx-c where your a should be 1, your b is also negative sum of solutions and your c is the product of the solutions so you couldve solved it in two seconds by factoring out the 2 as she did and see that 8 was your negative sum, therefore since you have a double negative its just 8
