he didn't care about "saving hockey" he just wanted to win at all cost and exploited something in the rules that allowed him to effectively "cheat". He probably new full and well once he got away with it once, they were going to change the rules to not allow that ever again.

As a lifelong Flyers fan, I developed strong opinions regarding everything involving the team. I really enjoyed the Father of NHL video tape usage, as well as all of the idiosyncracy he displayed in his career. Unfortunately he was at the center of the worst action in Flyers history when he was removed as Head Coach while fighting cancer. RIP Coach
