How To Solve Quadratic Equation by Completing the Square Method.

Solving quadratic equation:

Step 1: Divide all terms by a (the coefficient of x2).

Step 2: Move the number term (c/a) to the right side of the equation.

Step 3 Complete the square on the left side of the equation by adding square of the half of the coefficient of x [½(b/a)]² and balance this by adding the same value to the right side of the equation.

We now have something that looks like (x + p)2 = q, which can be solved rather easily:

Step 4 Take the square root on both sides of the equation.

Step 5 Subtract the number that remains on the left side of the equation to find x.

Completing the square method was first developed by an Arabian Mathematician named Muhammad Ibn Musa Alkwarizmi which was used to derived the general method, so this method is a very important tool set to have when solving equations of the second degree. I'm sure I also covered it indeptly on my channel.

Sir first of all I would like to say a big thank you but I have a little challenge which is x^2+4x+4=9 so factorising it becomes
(X+2)^2=9 so what happened to 4x are we going to ignore it at that point?
