Solving an equation by quadratic formula

👉 Learn how to solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula. A quadratic equation is an equation whose highest power on its variable(s) is 2. The quadratic formula is a formula which can be used to find the roots of (solve) a quadratic equation.

The quadratic formula is given by x = (-b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)) / 2a, where a is the coefficient of the quadratic term (x^2), b is the coefficient of the linear term (x) and c is the constant term. Thus, to solve a quadratic equation using the quadratic formula, first identify the 'a', 'b' and the 'c' of the quadratic equation and plug them into the quadratic formula and evaluate accordingly.

This guy is a badass. Lol I still can’t fully wrap my mind around this. I plan on starting college in the fall as I just obtained my HiSet diploma. Wish me luck. I have made progress over the last months regarding regular multi step equations, basics of probability, and the Pythagorean theorem. But this is really getting me. I made a little progress with graphs, functions, and slopes as well, but that will need work too. I will get this in time. I promise that to myself.

2(a) is that right or will both types work?

I solved this using the AC method instead, and I got the answer a lot more easily.

I was looking up videos because I was in choir practice today and missed Algebra 2 class and our teacher wanted us to watch the videos. One issue with that. There wasn't a video for the quadratic formula and here I am. I did not understand a jit of this, but it didn't make my brain hurt, so that's good I think.
