whatever you do. don't buy gochujang from waitrose thinking their own-brand stuff will be good. it is /so/ vinegary, i felt so betrayed when i bought it thinking it'd be like the stuff I'd had before 😭

It's so funny because it's really easy to make. It's just so expensive to buy it when it's like not that much to make it at home and the results are way better.

after learning how to make kimchi, i can't even stand the kimchi restaurants offer. I like my kimchi SOUR AF and spicy, but sadly most restaurants kimchi are not sour at all
