It's so true. Festivals are (by and large) not about the music anymore. The same is quickly becoming true for any large-scale live show. Of course, these days you HAVE to be rich to attend...😢

We get one life, might as well be true to ourselves about what'll make us happy

Hate VIP at festivals, main acts are okay sometimes cause it gets supercrowded.

Love the small stages to meet cool people and hear new sounds

"Risqué Neon Blazer" is the hottest act at Coachella.

I love going to concerts and stand up shows, If I can afford it I want to sit as close to the stage as possible, I do my merch shopping and use the restroom before the show starts, because once i'm in my seat i'm there until the house lights come back on.

I've never been to a festival before because it's just not my thing. I'd rather listen to the music then have to compete with what stage I need to be at to see who I want to see.

I was just at a music festival last weekend and something like this happened. I was with a group. 3 friends did Platinum. I did VIP. And 2 others did GA. The friends that did Platinum said it was not worth it. They were supposed to get a swag bag that no one who worked there knew where it was for them to collect it. Some of the people they wanted to see were not performing on the main stage where they had access to a side that was on the stage. The other stages didn't have Platinum access. They said the free food was alright. They didn't care about the free drinks. Most of the times they were either in the GA areas or the VIP sessions.

I will never understand people who go to music festivals not for music. The heat, the crowds, the constant need for hydration and staying with your group. What makes it worth it is the music

I've always found that the smaller the club, the better the music. The genre doesn't matter.

There are still lots of great festivals in the US. Coachella is probably the worst example, possibly now closely tailed by Burning Man, as a festival that was once great but has now been over commercialized and corrupted by social media marketing.

This is why I will always love wacken it’s about the music and heavy metal and thrash metal community.

I ride my bike to The Kate, watch the show and then ride home. Can usually get good seats, last time went in my overalls.

Warped tour was an exception, in my experience. Aside from the heatstroke and dehydration, it was a blast for everyone there
