It's really "the insecure boss" vs "the secure boss."

I'm sure wealth correlates with security, but it's not the essential element at play here.

My brother in law is a "really rich boss" and his whole attitude is "do whatever, if it works you get a raise, if not, stick to what you know works." Thus he motivates people to try new things and rewards them for their ingenuity.

Never understood why new bosses make immediate changes when they haven’t even been around long enough to know what needs to be changed🧐

The use of the word pedigree outside of dog shows is an immediate red flag in just about any scenario. Mans really understands both sides of this coin, I love it.

The "no changes until I've really settled in" approach is one I take personally in management, and it is woefully underrepresented. I've often been training my replacements when I'm getting ready to move on or up, and they're already talking big change before they've hit the ground. It's hard to see, because I care about my guys and now I know they're in for a rough transition after I leave.

I know a guy who used to have a middle class boss. He made barely more than him.
That boss was a real idiot. He was always doing stupid shit and telling obnoxious jokes, alot of the stuff he pulled made everyone really uncomfortable. Hearing about the dude, I have no idea how that branch ever sold any paper.

Dude, the 'rich' boss was totally on point. There was this new head of department in my previous company, first day of meeting the staff, didn't introduce himself at all, & immediately wanted to whip everyone into shape, while boasting he had experience working in 'hell-like company'. The fun thing is, he cried & had an emotional breakdown when i reviewed him for my exit interview.

This sounds more like middle management, than top level management.

One exec once told me flat out, "I don't understand your job. Just keep doing what you're doing."

Gotta love it when some overconfident and arrogant new boss or manager walks in and immediately demands a bunch of changes (most of which tend to make things worse and destroy morale) instead of actually learning the staff and workplace culture.

This couldn't come at a better time actually. We're dealing with the first guy at work right now.

My new manager needs to understand this. We literally all hate the fact that he isn’t willing to put himself in our shoes and make a bunch of changes correlated with a profession that has NOTHING TO DO with how our company functions. This time last year we were breaking records, and now we’re at a low that we haven’t seen in a long time.

I appreciate seeing crown’s post man. I want to be wealthy but still be a good person. I am not wealthy nor rich (not yet) but this guy keeps me grounded.

The employee has to make sure it’s not the same guy😂😂

Ahh yes the “tech” rich guy with a tshirt under his suit jacket. So much more down to earth and approachable.

These shorts make me feel poorer than I already am. I haven't even met someone rich enough to act like either person in any of them.

I love the idea that the richer they get the nicer they are. What a wonderful world that’d be to live in.
