The speed limit sign reader is called "intelligent cruise control" you can turn that off and use "adaptive cruise control" instead where you set the speed.

I think with the cost of buying and ev and the cost of electricity at moment they just don't seem a cheaper alternative to combustion engine.

Great video production as always Jonny! I've been making myself watch a bit more EV content of late to try and get up to speed on it all, but despite surging petrol costs and all the other sensible reasons to go EV, I just can't get past the whole charger availability/time taken thing. I think it will take a little longer yet for this 50 year old petrol burner to be totally convinced!

Great channel, digging all the mustang content :) So I was shocked to see that you reference 40mpg as the average, which makes sense because its UK, in the US that average would likely be around 20mpg, so really it comes out around 1/3 of the cost of ICE cars. Very impressive indeed.

Not knowing how the cruise control works was bad enough but referring to the chargers as ‘superchargers’ indicates that you haven’t done your homework😂

Thing that puts me off ev is the waiting around while you charge. A friend got an ev as a company car and after 8 months (ish) he changed it for a hybrid. He's got 2 children 10 and 13yr old and going on day trips etc the kids would start getting bored waiting for it to charge, also Adam said it started to get to him when say a journey that normally takes 4hrs turns in to 5 n half to 6hrs due to charging times, especially if you can't get on to a supercharger. Suppose in time there will be a better charging network.

What about your time lost to charging and having to move your car off the charger. Time = money. Also petrol prices are currently at an all time high!

Excuse my ignorance but I’m looking to get a Mach e. I currently have a phev st line x Kuga which is great but I was wondering if you would know what charging cost would be with octopus go @7.5p for 4 hours? . Am I right in thinking my 7kwh charger will put about 25 miles per hour back into it.

When petrol or diesel was roughly £1.20 per litre before the Russian invasion it would of been quicker to refuel and also cheaper but obviously contributed to more localised pollution. It won't be long till EV's are taxed as heavily as fossil fuel cars. We the drivers will never get it easy 😮‍💨

Great video once again .. personally id preffer spending 43ish more money than going to 5 different places to charge all that time lost woww... Electric vehicles are not even used by everyone yet but we see these kind of problems even now with the lower number. Imagine how its gonna be like when everyone owns one. NOPE i dont want that propably gonna drive a bicycle when they all go electric
