THANK you. Windows 11 bugged and had two languages to choose from in the language bar but only one showed in the settings so I couldn't uninstall it. Step 1 of your guide worked perfectly. :)

Didn't work for me. All languages except English are deleted in the Settings, but they're still visible and can be used from the Taskbar.

Unfortunately it did not worked for me, i'm really mad about Microsoft.
I only have one language on settings menu, but have three keyboard layouts no task bar, i have tried everything, and nothing worked, every time i setup the language i want it automatically creates the other two after restart.

It didnt work permanetly in my case. Tried both methods, but when restarting the 4 keyboard languages appear again.
Any other idea?

How can i remove ONLY the additional keyboard layouts? I need to keep the different languages for a couple of reasons, but not the keyboards.

I've followed all the steps, and at first it seems like it's removed the unwanted languages, but later if I reboot on logon screen and on the taskbar it shows the language symbol, and when I click on it, it still hast the 2 languages, even though I have already removed it. How do I fix this?

Thank you, I've had this reoccurring issue when my language would keep switching, and it got very annoying. So, I appreciate this a lot.

I'm trying to remove the en-US keyboard so that I can only have the English (United States) United States-International keyboard and the Hebrew (Standard) keyboard. Do you know if there is a way to do this permanently? The en-US keyboard is not listed as an installed keyboard in my language settings. I can install and uninstall it, but it would be nice to not have to do that every time I turn on my computer. Thank you

Hi all, I had the same issue and only the following solution worked for me.
I installed only the languages that I needed and deleted the languages that the system would let me delete from >Language settings<
Then it was showing me 2 times the same language (Spanish) on the language bar and English - United Kingdom that I could not remove.

I went to:
Settings > Time & language > Language & region
Scrolled down and selected: > Administrative language settings
Tab: Administrative
Selected: Copy settings

Ticked on both:
Welcome screen and system accounts
New user accounts

After following the 2 steps, I still have the Spanish keyboard input. I have the Windows set to English by default, but there is no way to remove the Spanish input keyboard. Any solution for this?
