Is there a program that disables ALL forms of artificial intelligence in Windows 11? That's the #1 program we should all want.

The only registry cleaner program i use is Revo uninstaller Free. Revo uninstall programs and after that it is scanning for leftowers.
It removes files and folders and registry keys not removed by the programs uninstaller.
That is a good feature, because if a program not funktion correctly, you will have to clean all of the program away, before installing again.
That is a program that I thought you should have had in the video Rich. I like Explorer Patcher as you do and the old Windows 10 context menu.

One feature you failed to mention about Fan Control is the ability to mix profiles. Once you have the CPU/GPU/Pump profiles set up you can then mix them so that for example if the GPU temp starts to rise it will not only speed up the GPU fans but can also speed up the case fans but not necessarily the cpu pump speed. And technically Fan Control is free but I urge people to donate to the author.

The brilliant thing about Fan Control is you can set up fan curves based on ANY temperature sensor. Like your GPU hot spot can cause your case fans to spun up faster if you wanted to. You can do something stupid like speed up your GPU fans based on CPU temps. You can do anything, you're not limited to just your GPU fans being controlled by your video card since those devices already have their own fan curves you can edit (in around about way).

The only drawback to this app is it it doesn't automatically label what fans or what. But you can play with these settings so you can identify which fan you're controlling so you can properly name it. But you'll need direct access to your PC guts to be able to identify them. So this is mostly geared towards system builders and enthusiasts. Not for someone running an OEM PC playing solitaire all day.

One thing I found was it is easier to use the windows start in the middle for tablets as you tend to rest your hands at the edges of the screen

Also you need to use DDU before you install driver package created by NVCleanstall, if you have the stock drivers already installed from Nvidia. Because it won't remove the crapware/telemetry already present from the old stock drivers even if you choose "perform a clean install." So you must reboot into safe mode, run DDU remove the stock Nvidia drivers completely, then reboot (offline do windows doesn't install drivers) and install the driver package you created with NVCleanstall. Once you've used DDU once like this you shouldn't need to do it again as long as you keep using NVCleanstall to rebuild your driver packages.

I also do not click the "install button" I instead open the temp folder NVCleanstall created and copy it off somewhere (USB stick or NAS), then I can take that folder and use it on other computers and install it on those PCs after I've use DDU.

My Windows 11 machine uses passive cooling so I don't have a need for the fan control program but I do use Open Hardware Monitor to see what the cpu temperatures are doing.

agree on the registry editors; i used one many years ago when I was still newer to using my own computer and boy did that sucker mess things up

Thank you for the link to the Classic Context Menu program, I wanted this for so long time but did not have the time to look for it. Now I don't need to look, I have it! 🙂

Am I the only one who was looking for the scar on his thumb throughout the video? 😶‍🌫... Looks like the thumb-tuck procedure was a resounding success! lol. Thanks for the great video too.

The real power of Fan Control is its ability to merge the output of multiple sensors to determine the fan speed.

Explorer patcher is a life save, it means I get the same folder flyouts as previous OS's straight from the taskbar so no need to run indexer or search as its easy to track down every file super quick even on systems with millions of files

ALRIGHT. If you use NV clean instal it will erase your GPU driver settings in the nvidia control panel and may cause your pc to black screen whenever you open or close google chrome or maximize a youtube video etc. To fix this go to nvidia control panel, then adjust desktop color settings and then scroll to bottom where it says content type reported and switch it from auto to desktop programs.
