I've use the little glass Tabasco bottles that are in MREs.

I carry a Zippo just for fun. I just leave the refill bottle in the trunk of my automobile and refill every week or so.
This is a good idea. When I get another backpack, this could serve useful.

Thanks for the great tip! That is a good way to store my zippo lighter fluid on a trip or long outing. I am glad your making more zippo lighter vids I love Zippos and I think you should keep doing more of them.

I tried this a few months ago and while it is a good idea i found out that after about a month and a half if you haven't used the fluid it will completely evaporate.  Just something to keep in mind.

Perfect timing. I just got a zippo and some hand warmers. And I've been thinking about how to store my lighter fluid in my edc bag. I was thinking about getting a small flask with an o ring, but this looks much better.

Hi Jeff, just wondering if these little bottles stood the test of time. Did the zippo fluid ever degrade the plastic bottle and cause it to leak? Or did the fluid evaporate from the bottle over time? I'm looking for a less expensive way to carry a small amount of zippo fluid. I have the zippo brand storage bottle but at $9 it's a little too pricey.

I've been using the Zippo hand warmer and it works great but the Zippo fluid canister is ok

A better bottle would be one of those little medicine glass bottles that has a glass eye dropper installed into the cap. You would probably have to pay more, but it probably wont break easily or have the lighter fluid eat through the glass.

have you tried ronsonol its from zippo its cheaper form of there fluid so people can afford way more easily

Since fluid is petroleum based, it might not be good long term.  But I like the idea!

Lighter fluid are a pain the ass to store. I can guarantee you, fill 1 bottle and just leave it untouched for a few days, you will see the fluid level slowly going down. I have tried using plumber's tape....seal the opening with a piece of rubber..all sorts of stuff and still can't stop the evaporation.
