I love my Legion GO so much more now that the battery life is 2x.

Let me know what you think of this fix below in the comments.

Links to everything you need:

Magnetic remote control holder:

Adhesive cable management clips

The battery (INUI 100w pd 90wh battery):

USB C to USB C PD cable, make sure its at least 65w pd, this is the one that i used and its perfect

Keep in mind i am not an “expert” on heat/magnets and their interactions with the legion go. However I have been running this set up for about a month now with no negative impacts. Follow this guide at your own risk.

Good video and good work. Funny cause I just did a similar thing. Your setup is much cleaner and now I'm gonna try that cord management . also does the battery bank ever lose charge with just with a cable plugged in? I read thats a thing on some of them.

Legion go is already such a light device that you can attach maybe 5 batteries to it and still not feel the weight . Great video 👍

I got a Legion GO last week. Just got into this market. Now I know why people get hooked on them. Had the Rog Ally X at firs and returned it as awesome as it is the screen was to small

Just found this video. Nice job. I have a semi-similar setup using a 3d-printed jib to hold the battery from Etsy, but I don't like how it clips on and can potentially scratch my Legion Go. I'm definitely going to give this a try. It looks safer and much cleaner than what I've been using. Thanks for the upload!

I actually like your video, music, script, pace, length, everything is good. I like your idea, I thought of this before as well but until I could resolve it with better engineering, I probably wouldn’t wanna do it. I rather put it down and charge it. I use an Anker 733, which is 2-in-1 65w from wall, 30w when unplugged. I already bring one thing less.

Imagine your idea is to trim down the portable battery to a bit slimmer or use a slimmer profile version, then replace the Legion Go kickstand, even just adding 30WH will be comparable with the Ally X. No additional accessories, and still having an awesome kickstand 😉

Any heating issues? It looks like its obstructing the vent. Not completely there is a small space. Just wondering before I do this setup.

Hey buddy...just wanted to say thank you for sharing your idea and thoughts. Great job and don't worry about the nay-sayers about why just do this and that. keep it up. Video was well done.

Might consider this I lug around the power cable cord that comes with the Go just find a wall outlet. When I'm at work 2 hours is all I need daily.

I noticed there's a mini option for the power bank that has the same stats, i wonder if that would work as well and lighten up the weight a little

The lego is heavy af as is and adding that power bank will make it almost twice as heavy i got an anker 60k power bank for 9p bucks with an anker 100w 10ft usbc cable it lasts hours

Lol. It'll only weighs 1 ton. Also, devices can thermal throttle to reduce temperatures as well. Just put the battery next to you. That's what I do.

I dont think this is a bad idea at all, just 1 question, if the levion go is at 100% and you connect it to the power bank fully charged, which battery is it consuming first? And also, doing that can damage the legion go's battery(?

I have a 20w, 38wh bank that I might try this with. Its smaller, lighter and probably gives me enough extra battery to get through most scenarios.

Is not being 65w a big deal?
